First, you notice the buzz, then the warmth. Since 2014, Bo & Bun has grown from a 35-seat nook into a Seminyak favourite, yet the soul stayed the same. Meanwhile, vintage touches, cosy lighting, and easy hospitality set the tone. As a result, it feels relaxed, a little nostalgic, and instantly welcoming.

The Food

To begin, think Southeast Asian comfort with Vietnamese heart. Next, expect generous plates that prioritise flavour over fuss. Moreover, traditional recipes meet modern technique, so every bite lands just right.

  • 12-Hour Pho — slow-simmered broth, never watered down, therefore deep, rich, and restorative. Piled with rare tenderloin, beef shank, brisket, meatballs, rice noodles, and herbs.
  • Pork Belly Bao Buns — soft, house-made bao, hoisin, herbs, and peanuts, consequently fluffy, savoury, and addictive.
  • Crispy Pork Belly Bites — for crunch seekers, because texture matters as much as taste.
  • Smoked Lemongrass Chicken — half chicken, chargrilled to smoky perfection, then finished with soubise onion, red-cabbage pickle, fresh herbs, and a hint of annatto chilli oil.
  • Vietnamese Salad — glass noodles, lettuce, herbs, carrot, cucumber, beansprouts, and crisp spring rolls, all tossed in nuoc cham. Additionally, add lemongrass pork, chicken, tofu, or the ultimate 18-hour pork belly bites.
  • Chocolate Fondant — warm, molten centre with raspberry ganache, dark-choc cookie, salted caramel, black-sesame tuile, and vanilla gelato, so dessert ends on a high.

The Bar Upstairs: District 1

After dinner, head upstairs. District 1, the speakeasy inspired by Ho Chi Minh City’s districts, serves cocktails made with premium spirits and local ingredients. Consequently, it’s ideal for a pre-dinner aperitif, and, equally, perfect for a post-meal linger and chat.

The Story

Back in 2014, Bo & Bun arrived with a simple idea: cook like family, serve like friends, and, above all, let flavour lead. Since then, the room expanded, the fan base grew, and the team kept refining. Ultimately, the mission remains unchanged — fill the stomach, warm the soul, and send guests out smiling.
