Through the hectic traffic of Denpasar, past Jimbaran, past the Nusa Dua and Uluwatu turn off and along a precariously remote road in the Ungasan area, I finally arrive at Karma Kandara.
K for Karma at night
With the glimpse of the ocean in my sites I happily forgoe the welcome drink and head straight through my Yellow door and into my Villa. All the amenties imaginable are offered, including my very own plunge pool, yet I get the feeling I am not going to spend a substainal amount of time within these four walls. Just like the monkeys that surround this resort.
So yes, keep your doors closed!
My 3 Bedroom Villa
My need for saltwater has me walking down to find this glorious beach I have heard so much about. Meandering along winding limestone footpaths lined with coloured Villa doorways I began to question my sense of direction until I am comfronted by the Karma’s cliff hanging Spa.
Cliff Hanging Spa
Actually I think I will be lost in ‘Karmaland‘ forever as a few steps further leads me to the infinity pool and for a moment I forgot I was in Bali. With white limestone surrounds and highlights of blue I could have sworn I was in Greece. Does this mean I can cross Greece off my bucketlist?
Karma Infinity
Am I in Greece?
Within seconds I am guided by staff and off down the side of the cliff in a Inclinator. Ofcourse, a inclinator. I would pay for a ride on it just to see the view of the ocean in its entirity. Actually if you aren’t a guest you will need to pay but it is worth ever Rupiah.
So here I am at Nammos Beach Club. Cocktails in site, the smell of Woodfire pizza, beach chairs and snorkels. Now this is my idea of a holiday and to top it off, Australia’s own DJ ‘Ruby Rose’ is playing some tunes as the sunsets on this beach of tranquility.

Can’t take the Model out of me!
And really why would I want to leave. I do have my own cubby house and you are all invited!

Nightime now upon me and my hunger over satisfied with fresh seafood and pizza it is time to head back up to my villa. But along the way…
Restaurant Di Mare by night
The Temple Lounge Bar
I thought I would explore a little more of Karma Kandara…
From its Morrocan inspired Temple Lounge, its Mediterranean Di Mare Restaurant and the beauty of Nammos Beach I have come to truly appreciate what Karma Kandara is all about. STYLE.
Just so you know that I was thinking of you all while I was out snorkelling I have this for you…
I take snorkelling and writing seriously!
Now do yourself a favour when in Bali and head to Nammos Beach Club. Tell your Taxi it is Karma Kandara near Uluwatu and don’t pay them anymore than 150,ooo Rupiah. That is if you are leaving fromKuta, Legian or Seminyak. It is more than worth the effort. Believe me!
Happy Karma to you all!
