Seminyak is one of the most popular destinations in Bali, and for good reason. With its trendy beach clubs, upscale boutiques, and world-class restaurants, it’s the perfect place to enjoy the island’s vibrant atmosphere. And if you’re looking for a very comfortable and convenient place to stay, you can’t go wrong with Amadea Resort & Villas.
Located on the bustling Eat Street in Seminyak, Amadea is a hidden gem that has quickly become one of my absolute favourites with such lush tropical gardens, you’ll know you’ve arrived in Bali. I recently stayed there with my husband and son in the Deluxe Pool Terrace Room, which was absolutely perfect. With our terrace room opening onto the pool, it was easy to keep an eye on our little one while still enjoying the water. And speaking of the pool, it was lovely – the perfect temperature and never too crowded at all. There is a definite hour when you notice all the guests that have been out exploring the sights returning in the afternoon for some pool time and perhaps happy hour.
One of the highlights of our (well atleast my) stay was the morning yoga classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It was a great way to start the day, and the instructor was fantastic – knowledgeable, encouraging, and fun. Even if you’re not a seasoned yogi, I highly recommend giving it a try. Afterall, it’s going to make you feel a little less guilty when you are downing those cocktails poolside later.
Of course, no trip to Bali is complete without a massage or spa treatment, and Amadea has you covered there too. We booked a massage at the resort’s day spa, and it was a wonderful experience. The therapists were skilled and attentive, and the ambiance was relaxing and peaceful. Treat yourself to a 90 minute Balinese Bliss: A combination of traditional Balinese massage & body scrub. It starts with a foot bath & ends with flower bath which refreshes you fully. Cost was – Rp 495.000 so it would be rude not to!
But perhaps the best thing about Amadea is the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by their warmth and friendliness. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, and they were always available to answer our questions and offer recommendations.
During our stay, we had daily buffet breakfasts at Asparagus Resto, which is located right on Eat Street so you can have your breaky and watch the world go by. The restaurant is a beautiful and inviting space, with a lush garden and plenty of natural light. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. There was enough of a variety to satisfy the whole family. From my more inclined to start my day options of eggs, bacon, and sausages to something lighter (for the health conscious hubby), there’s also yogurt, granola and fruit.
Now that breakfast is out of the way, it’s time to either 1-hit the poolside or 2-explore the area and luckily one of the best things about Amadea is its location. Seriously!
It’s walking distance to all that Seminyak has to offer, including some of my favourite spots like the old faithfuls Ultimo Restaurant, Cafe Bali, Sisterfields and my go-to coffee shop, Revolver. Love your coffee? Revolver is a MUST! If you’re a foodie, you’ll be spoiled for choice in this area – there are so many amazing restaurants and cafes to try and if you still have energy to burn the try your luck at La Favela and Champagne Bar when us family types retreat to bed. Ahhh… I remember the days, when bed time now was the time you’d leave to go out then. But anyway, what I am saying is that Seminyak has so much to offer that you can fill your day, no matter what you are after.
Overall, our stay at Amadea Resort & Villas was fantastic. From the comfortable and stylish rooms to the beautiful pool and excellent staff, everything exceeded our expectations. The bedding (I don’t generally mention unless it is incredibly comfy) was a dream and made our nights so much easier to drift off to sleep.
