The Bali Bird

Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort

Midnight is not the best time to be arriving at Denpasar airport, however the upside is it takes only ten minutes to the Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort as opposed to 30 minutes in the daytime.

After the hassles of even a short flight, we were able to relax almost immediately, having been met at the airport by the hotel transportation.

Our greeting was very welcoming and quick and we were soon comfortably settled into our room and fast asleep in a signature Sheraton bed.

The Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort is situated opposite Kuta Beach and next door to the Beachwalk Shopping Centre. The location and design of this hotel gives it a funky vibe and is true luxury in amongst all Kuta has to offer.

There are 203 rooms, which range from Deluxe to Luxury Suites and also the option for adjoining rooms for families. Most of the rooms have views of the Indian Ocean and all have complimentary WiFi.

Our room was spacious with two double beds and a large bathroom, a balcony plus all the facilities you could want. Most importantly it was quiet and we all slept really well.

Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort offers three signature dining venues, breakfast and all-day dining is served at Feast, located alongside the busy Beachwalk patio and overlooking Kuta Beach. We enjoyed watching the hustle and bustle of Kuta from our very comfortable tables and lounge chairs.

“This is the best breakfast bar ever,” my daughter reports as she eyes up all the sorbet, toppings and cheerios. I agree but I’m looking at the vitamin loaded fresh kiwi juice and energizing muesli, whilst my husband enjoyed the full breakfast – all happy customers!

Bene is an award winning rooftop casual Italian trattoria with a panoramic ocean views. There were 100 pasta types! I’m not a food expert, however, I would recommend this restaurant.  The food and service were spot on, portion sizes were just right and we all came away having enjoyed the whole dining experience.

Another dining option is The Lounge which is an open air cocktail lounge looking directly out onto the Indian Ocean and the hotel pool .

Other facilities include the Play@Sheraton Kids Club, the Fitness Club and of course the Shine Spa. I managed to fit in a 30 minute pedicure and a 30 minute massage which cost around AUS$32. The treatment was excellent and I thought good value for my money.

The location in Kuta was a big plus for us as we love to shop. We would happily stay at the Sheraton again.
